My Soul’s On The Mountain
It was there on the Mountain –
His voice rang with joy.
I received my commission
To counter sins ploy;
I’m given my purpose –
His glory revealed.
Up here on the Mountain,
My assurance is sealed.
But down to the Valley
My footsteps must tread –
Back to life’s struggles
And my earthly, deep dread.
Though I wish to linger,
Time whisks me away –
And down to the Valley
I walk in dismay.
Then – lifts up my soul
In a joyful resound!
I need not regret
Where my body is bound!
For up on the Mountain –
With God’s bright array –
My mind and my spirit
Have a haven to stay!
My body may wander;
This Valley to face –
But long will my spirit
Live in His embrace.
For the Mountain, though left,
In heart will remain.
And always, His splendor
In mind, soul will reign.

The One Who Loves Us Best
When the Lord seems far and distant
And the Way is grief and pain,
Then the Faith is sorely tested
And our lives are doubt again.
But our God is safe around us
And His love is present still –
For we are His Bride incumbent
On the High and Holy Hill.
There the broken are completed –
All the earth restored to One –
Upon the Twelve of Faith’s Foundation –
Jewels and gold and jasper won.
But the riches are not treaded,
And the glory unreserved.
For our God resides within It
And alive in he who served.
Is our travel worth the waiting?
Is our hope our sight or dread?
Our forever is the reigning
Of our Christ’s Whose mercy bled.
Is our journey worth the heart-ache?
Will our Faith embrace the test?
Our eternity is the Presence
Of the One Who loves us best.

All For His Glory
All for His Glory;
All for His Name –
All for His wonder
And truth to remain!
Faithful in bearing;
Righteous in Life –
Holding resilient
‘neath edge of God’s knife.
Picking and pruning
And shaping and heat –
All to the end of
A sin-life’s defeat.
Water and twining
And care of God’s Hand –
All to the end of
The life He has planned.
Blessed are His people
And fruitful their ways
For Jesus’ pleasure flows
O’er us in waves.
So draw to Him, nearer,
And plant in His mind –
Hold to His Spirit and
Come Home refined.
But remember, whatever
Goes ill or goes well,
Our purpose is only:
His Glory still dwells.

O Sing O You Heavens
O sing, O you heavens, of Calvary’s Tree.
Ring praise and honour to Christ, Almighty.
O heaven’s bright throne-room,
To Jesus glad ring!
To Christ as our Saviour;
To God as our King.
Rapturous Grace, we seek you as gold.
Meekly you lead us to Peace’s white-fold.
The Tree of Salvation; of Sacrifice-cost,
We cling to for mercy, O Searcher of Lost!
To the Spirit on Dove’s Wings
For love He does bring,
O sing, O you heavens, of Heavenly things.
Raise adoration! In Holiness, trod,
And give laud to I Am;
My Father, our God!
